FlorlyPrivacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Florly app ("Florly", "we") collects, why, and what choices you have. Florly is provided by 33Affiliates L.L.C-FZ (the data controller). Questions: [email protected].
1. Using Florly without an account
You can use Florly without signing in. The app then works under an anonymous identifier created by our subscription provider (RevenueCat) for your installation. It is not linked to your name or email.
2. Data we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Photos you take or choose for identification and diagnosis, the plant names you enter and your questionnaire answers | To identify the plant and diagnose its health. Photos are sent to our servers and processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the answer. |
| Results of identifications and diagnoses | To show them to you, keep your history and improve answer quality. |
| Feedback you send, and the email you optionally leave with it | To fix content and to reply to you if you asked us to. |
| Device and app information: model, OS version, language, app version, anonymous installation and advertising identifiers, IP address | To run the service, prevent abuse, measure app performance and, where you allow it, measure advertising. |
| Approximate location (city / country, from your IP or the city you choose); precise location only if you grant permission | To show local weather and plants popular in your region. |
| Purchase and subscription status | To provide premium features (through Apple, Google and RevenueCat). |
| Account data, only if you create an account: email, the fact that you signed in with Apple or Google, the devices you are signed in on | To sign you in, protect your account and limit it to your own devices. |
| Your app data, only if you have an account and an active subscription with sync: your plants, collections, photos, reminders, notes and settings | To back them up and restore them on another phone. |
3. Sign in with Apple and Google
If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive only a unique user identifier from that provider and your email address (with Apple you can hide it; we then receive a private relay address). We do not receive your password and do not access any other data in your Apple or Google account.
Florly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to sign you in, and never for advertising and never sell it.
You can also set a password for your account email and sign in with it.
4. Service providers
We share data only with providers that run parts of the service for us, under their own privacy terms:
- OpenAI: processing of photos and text for identification and diagnosis.
- Hetzner (Germany / Finland): servers and storage for our API, your account and synced data.
- RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play: purchases and subscriptions.
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Amplitude: app analytics and stability.
- AppsFlyer and Meta (Facebook) SDK: install attribution and advertising measurement, subject to your tracking choice on iOS (App Tracking Transparency).
- Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple / Google.
- WeatherAPI.com, GBIF and OpenStreetMap Nominatim: weather and plant data for your region (they receive the city, not your identity).
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep data
- Photos you send and the results you get: kept to show your history and improve answer quality until you ask us to delete them or delete your account. We may delete them earlier.
- Synced app data and photos of an account: while the account exists. If your subscription ends, the synced copy stays read-only for 12 months so you can restore it, then it is deleted. Data on your phone is not affected.
- Account data: until you delete the account.
- Feedback: as long as needed to handle it and improve the app, or until you ask us to delete it.
6. Deleting your data
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes the account, its synced data and photos, and disconnects Sign in with Apple.
- Or email [email protected] from the account email. Without an account, tell us roughly when you used the app and on which device, and we will find and delete what we can link to it.
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google: cancel them in your store account settings. Deleting the app or the account does not cancel a subscription.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you may ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
8. Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sign-in tokens from Apple are stored encrypted, and access to our servers is restricted.
9. Children
Florly is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. International transfers
Our servers are in the EU. Some providers (for example OpenAI) process data in other countries, under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
